Brian Desmond Allison (1942-2007) was born in Albury, but later grew up in the Melbourne suburb of Bentleigh with his parents, Desmond and Marjory, and sister Fay. and it was not until the age of 50 that he became an established Art Teacher, Artist, Curator and Photographer. Brian was a great, great grandson of the colonial Victorian bush artist, Alfred William Eustace (1820-1907), a renowned bush artist, poet and colonial pioneer from Chiltern, Victoria. Brian was inspired by the works of A W Eustace.
